BOB'S BURGERS
Season One
Format: Netflix
Genre: Humor, Comedy, Animation

Rating: 8 out of 10.

SPOILERS.

Bob is a simple man. He just wants to cook burgers in his joint with as little problems as possible and keep the diner afloat. His wife, Linda, has a voice that can curdle dairy in one word and a rather weird sexual desire to do odd things like sexy dice or dreaming of Tom Selleck holding Bob and her and working an ice-cream machine. Tina is a social awkward girl with a rash and a giant crush on Jimmy Jr., the son of a rival restaurant owner across the street. She loves unicorns, painting her dentist nude with artistic interpretation, and a stage fright problem like no other. Gene is the family musician, and like most musicians has no sensor and is odd as can be. He dresses up as a burger and uses a bullhorn that has fart noises on it. Louise is a neurotic little girl who is a business tycoon and the intelligent one of the family. She writes a report on her role model, a bank robber that held her dad hostage when he tried to deliver a burger. All in all, this show follows the SUPER odd dynamics of this family and the adventures that follow the burger shop that they aren't keeping afloat due to the kids and their peculiar nature.

This was me when I was young.
The kids in this show, are the greatest. Bob and Linda are a bit weird on their own; but Tina, Gene, and Louise are something else. Louise reminds me of when I was young. Wanting to hunt for treasure using a butt-shaped map, yelling at people to get her own way, and forcing the twins in her neighborhood to make crappy tourist artwork to make a couple bucks here and there. This show is funny, but its not like NEED TO WATCH or anything. H. John Benjamin voices Bob, so I felt like I needed to watch it since my favorite show is Archer for sure. The dynamics of the people on the show are what keep me coming back for more though. The animation is okay, but very reminiscent of Family Guy and that style. The only reason I enjoy this is the fact that they take regular situations and they end up so much crazier than what it was before. Jimmy Pesto, the rival restaurant owner, gets a high score on a game called 'Burger Boss' and logs it as 'Bob Sux.' Bob then has a nerd teach him how to play, has carpal tunnels, and is slightly racist in the end.

If you are looking for something comical to spend your time with, Bob's Burgers is a go.
