SPOILERS.
Tessa is far from average, but she is even more so with the fact that she faces her imminent death. Her life is ruled by her leukemia, which makes Tessa bitter to no end. She has a list of things she wants to do before she dies such as becoming famous, shoplifting, trying drugs, and losing her virginity. Her best friend Zoey and her create massive chaos around them as they both try to "live." Eventually, Tessa is spurned by a male, and wants to burn anything that has a link to men, photos and a dress. She sees a fire at her neighbors and takes the items to be destroyed. She bumps into her neighbor, Adam. He's kind, quiet and attractive. Her ends up passing out on him, but creates an impression on him. His father died the year before, so he has a sort of link to Tessa. He opted out of life, and she's trying to live it out loud. Their relationship grows as he constantly bails her out of trouble. From shrooms to shoplifting and rescuing her when her father is overbearing, Adam is her safety net. She stops doing her treatments, because she is ready to face death, until she realizes later her list of possibly illegal things, changes to a list of stuff her and Adam should do together. She wants to listen to him snore when they are older, get bored at a parent-teacher conference for their children. She finds out Zoey is pregnant, and will not live to see her child born. Adam, saves his spot for university just as Tessa learns she is in the last of her days. She's drugged on morphine, and Adam stays with her till the end, taking care of her and loving her along the entire way. He stays next to her when she's sleeping, she holds his hand when she's sleeping, and he even helps her bathe. Her family tells her goodbye as she is out cold, and Adam hold her as she slowly drifts. The movie ends with her dreaming of the life she would have had.
So many feels. Its not even fair.

So, I'm not usually into movies like this, but I figure Tessa and I would act the same. We are both a bit snarky, wanting to live our life to the fullest, and are rather tough and trying to hold people together. In the end, I loved Adam too. He wasn't that cheesy romantic love that most of these movies get. You saw a lot of his character, and he didn't really ever mess up (humanizing element,) but he broke down when he needed to. He was barely flawed, but trying to push them down to give Tessa priority. Holy crap, was I stunned at how actually decent the acting was, and the plot wasn't terribly boring either. Usually, cancer moves make me bored. This one, made me cry. In the end, the number of feels was really high. If you are in the mood for a weep, I recommend Now Is Good.
